EMPIRE SUBANG GALLERY

Rapid growth has made Subang Jaya the newly established city with vibrant and diverse population. The activities and liveliness of the city throughout the day and night created the Timeless Motion that inspires the proposed facade design for the revitalization of Empire Shopping Gallery. The idea objective is to enhance the visual presence and uplift the shopping mall’s experience to the public.

With the current post-covid pandemic event, people are more aware of the need for generous spaces. Taking advantage of the current elongated mall layout, the proposed design aims to create public awareness signifying the long span of the mall by unifiying the overall massing and facade.

Inspired by the diversity of the city, the proposed facade uses vibrant coloured aluminium panel to enhance the visual experience of the mall. The triangulated aluminium fins naturally creates an ever-changing facade visual throughout the day responding to the sun orientation that can be experienced by the people arriving as well as those who are travelling along the highway.
